Frequently Asked Questions
-
How is your company name pronounced?
Our name is pronounced "Ka-todd-in". "Katahdin" is a Native American (Abenaki) word, translated to mean "highest land" or "greatest mountain". Katahdin, in Baxter State Park, Maine, is the highest mountain in Maine, the northern end of the Appalachian Trail, and the first place the sun strikes on the east coast. It's also the middle name of our company founder.

Can I design and create a website and just have you host it?
Sure, that's one option available to you.
-
How much do you charge to create a website?
Design prices vary widely, depending on the type and size of the site you want. Single-page "online brochures" could cost as little as $200, while dynamic sites with multimedia graphics and interactive features will likely cost significantly more. However, a visitor's impression of a more "powerful" site is often much more favorable than their impression of a static site.
-
What is your fee for maintaining a site?
This fee is negotiable and will depend on the type of site and the amount of maintenance needed. As a rough estimate, plan on $45.00 per hour, with a 1/2-hour minimum.
